BYREDO Vanquish has a woody character that feels darker and more earthy than many floral candles. My first impression is that the fragrance combines a fresh green floral side with warmer woody and smoky elements, giving it a more grounded feel.

During my use, I paid attention to how the wax melted and how the wick behaved rather than judging the candle only by its fragrance.
For me, the stated 60-hour burn time is reasonable for this size of candle, but I would consider the actual burn experience more important than the manufacturer’s estimate when comparing it with other candles.
I would avoid describing the candle as completely free from tunneling or soot unless those are things I personally observed throughout the full testing period.
